Sandy was taken in by PAWS as a stray and is about 4 years old. She is a Labrador mixed breed and she looks as if her skin is too big for her body, poor girl.
She has a really great character, very gentle and cuddly with people, but also a little shy. We do not know what she has experienced before, but it only takes one quick movement, or a slightly louder voice, and she lies down. Sandy does not pass out in a panic, but lies down on her back.
We assume that Sandy has never lived in a home and therefore has a lot to learn. At the shelter Sandy appears a rather quiet dog who goes out of her way to avoid any confrontation, but once she feels safe and secure she will gain in confidence.
We see Sandy as an ideal family dog. She never shows a sign of aggression and gets on well with the other dogs in her kennel. Sandy wants an active family that enjoys doing things with her, long walks and a visit to a dog school would be ideal.
