Name: Yiannis (male) Date of birth: May 2015 Height to shoulder: 54 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Admitted to shelter: April 2017 Yiannis was found together with his sister Yiana in a village near the highway from Limassol to Paphos. We assume that they are brother and sister, because they are very similar in appearance and age, but of course we can not know it for sure. Their finders could find a place in a shelter for them. Both dogs are very kind, but afraid of humans. When they came to the shelter, we could clearly notice that they wanted to get in touch with us, but didn´t trust us. In the meantime, they are familiar with the helpers in their kennels, welcome them joyfully when they come in and can be stroked and cuddled without any problems. Only when they get them out of their kennel, they become immediately unsure. But it will be only a matter of time and they will become secure there as well. Name: Wanda (female) Date of birth: February 2010 Height to shoulder: 58 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Admitted to shelter: February 2017 Wanda was found as she was tied up in front of a shelter. Next to her was a note written in Greek that she had been tied there because the family have no longer enough money to feed her. A few months ago Ronda had been placed there for the same reason. We think Ronda is the daughter of Wanda, because they look similar. In the meantime Wanda could be neutered and she had another surgery, because her eyelids grew into her eyes and causing constant eyebrows and eye irritation. Wanda had recovered well. Now she is ready to find a loving family. She is a bit older and we really hope that Wanda get a second chance in life and don´t have to spend her rest of her life behind shelter bars. Wanda has a very dear character. She is well with other dogs and also with humans. Only with men she is still a bit cautious, but when she notice that the men are ok she overcomes her shyness. When we took her out, she was very shy. In the meantime, she has already gained confidence in the visitors from the shelter and has already recovered well. She shows us daily her dear character. Ella seems to be a beautiful Epagneul Breton girl. She is a normal active girl who loves the attention with her people. With other dogs she is very good. She needs gentle talk and she enjoys it when she feels safe. At the moment she is not good on the leash and hardly knows commands, so she needs training and would love to visit a dog school. Name: Lilly (female) Date of birth: June 2014 High to shoulder: 48 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: June 2017 Lilly and her brother were exposed at the end of August 2014 as puppies in front of a pet store. Fortunately, they were found by a family and they have taken both to their home. They were loved and the plan was, that Lilly and her brother spend their lives together with the family. Unfortunately, their owner has developed over time an allergy and they had to move to a shelter. It was a shock for Lilly. She was initially very upset (which can be seen in the photographs), but with the time she settled in the new environment. Lilly is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs and children. Unfortunately a vet check revealed, that Lilly has a deformation of her backbone. She has no pain and she walks and run nearly like a normal dog.
