Volunteers were able to get him out there and brought them to a shelter. Misha was incredibly dirty when he came out of the pound, but happy and healthy. Obviously he had never bad experiences with humans. Misha is a cheerful and friendly little boy. He plays and rages through the kennel with the other puppies and is happy to get attention from humans. Jeffrey was found by a couple who walk his dogs. He ran after them and they took him home as a foster dog. He is quite timid and frightened. No one knows why is he like that. Maybe his formerly owner was not good to him, or he had not enough experiences in his life. Now he is safe in his foster home and when he will realize it he can gain confidence. He can not stay there forever, because the people have already enough dogs. Jeffrey hopes to find his own family soon. The vet service was informed about it and after long conversations he finally agreed to give Melvin free. Melvin could find a place, where they helpers take care of him. It is replacement for a home, but he get good food and attention. But Melvin hopes that he is not too long in the shelter, because he is still very young and doesn´t want to spend his life in a shelter. He loves humans and their attention. He is very cuddly and loves to climb on the lap of the helpers and to cuddle. Melvin is good with the other dogs and likes to play and run with them. Name: Gael (male) Date of birth: April 2014 Height to shoulder: 42 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: June 2017 The former owner of Gael and four other Beagles turned to the shelter asking if they could take the dogs because he have not enough time for them. He talked about his babies and how much he loves them and how hard the decision is for him. We were expecting a little happy beagle team and they were very sad that they had to leave their humans. When Gael came to the shelter with Joquin, Lucky, Uma and Carrie, we didn´t believe our eyes. There was not a funny Beagle group wandering through the gate, no, there were very distraught and frightened, some more shy, other more reserved. We have no idea how the conditions were where they lived and what they’ve experienced, but it’s not normal for that breed Beagle to be distraught and frightened in that way. Now we are glad that his “babies” are with us and we can try to pampered all of them with loves and attention as much as possible. Would be better they could find a lovely home soon, but we think they are now better in the shelter than before. Gael is one of the most frightened of the five Beagles. He is almost panicked when you try to stroke him. It hurts to watch at him when he is like that and we hope we can help him to overcome soon. Gael needs a family, who help him to overcome his fears as well as possible. We can not say if he can have a completely fearless life one day. Name: Shima (female) Date of birth: December 2014 Height to shoulder: 57 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: June 2017 Shima is one of the pointer of the hunting season 2016 who landed in a pound. Why she landed there, maybe she was left by hunters or ran away, we don´t know and we will probably never know. Shima had the great luck that she could changed from the pound to a shelter. The vet check revealed that she is very thin, but healthy. Shima just shows shyness in front of us humans, but trust very quickly and then she shows her very dear character. She is incredibly pleased with every attention and patting she can get from us. With dogs she is very good, very friendly and tolerable.
