Happy-Endings

Corrie is now called Curry

Little Curry was saved from being sent to a municipality pound when a place in a shelter was found for her. Now her life is perfect because she was adopted by a lovely family in Cyprus. As soon as the family picked her up from the shelter, she found her place in between the two boys in the back of the car. She felt at home from the first second she arrived at their house. Watching her in her new home, you can see how safe and relaxed she feels and how much she loves her new family. Her most important family members are her new brothers Till and Philip. She sleeps in their bedroom and would love to spend the whole day together with them if she could. She can’t understand why they go to school or kindergarten without her – she is ready to go with them! Till, her oldest brother, feeds her and takes her out for walks every day, which are always special moments for Curry. The whole family is in love with Curry and Curry with them, she is the spice in their life. It’s a very, very happy ending for this lovely little Curry.  ...

Benito – is very happy with his people and friends

Hello to all Cyprus dog lovers, the time flies by and I wanted to say hi. I am now almost three years with my people in Hamburg and I love them. I have not only a two-legged, but also a four-legged friend and that’s great! My Mimi, a pretty black-haired polnish girl has helped me in the beginning. But now I am the man of the house and take care of my girls. And because I ‘m a great guy and my people are so excited about me, so many Cyprus dogs followed me to Germany. Melli, Sissi, Bonny, Roxy, Nina, Tiffy and as the last passenger on board was the one-eyed Janet. They were all rehomed by my people. Every now and then I meet my friends on the walks and then we run around and our people are very happy to see us so cheerful. Thanks to all who always make these little wonder possible! I will continue to advertise as an ambassador for my dogs and friends in Cyprus. I promise! Your Benito  ...

Narnia´s happy end story

Hello everyone, it’s me, Narnia. I have been with my two mistresses in Hude/Germany since 28 February 2014. I was allowed to keep my beautiful name, even though at first I didn’t understand that it was my name! My mums tell me every day that I am a great dog, I have already learned quite a lot and never have to go anywhere else again! I slowly came to understand this and I am so happy because I have my family (a female and 2 males) who I have grown to love so much. I have been house trained from the beginning. I don’t really like to go out in the dark – that’s too scary for me. One of my two mistress asks me every night if I want to go out – but no thank you, I will just go to my basket. Men make me a little scared. If they get too close to me I bark, because their voices frighten me.  I know, I should not. Sometimes they go to the forest for a while and after 10 minutes, I feel more comfortable with men and I don’t mind if they just gently stroke me . It’s great that I never have to be home all alone, because my little friend Jeanny (a 12 -year-old Jack Russel lady ) is always there for me. She is already an elderly lady and knows how to behave. I watch her to always see how she behaves in strange situations and then I do the same as her. For example, the first time I heard and saw a strange monster in the house (the vacuum cleaner!) I have watched her and saw that she was completely relaxed, so I knew it wasn’t really a monster and I didn’t need to be scared. I believe that both my mums thought this was very good. They do say though that there is one thing I still have to work on;  my jealousy. I love so much to snuggle on the sofa with my two mums, but I don’t like it when the cats jump on there too and try to take the attention away from me – it’s my cuddle time! I really like both the cats and sometimes I cuddle with them, but not on my sofa thank you very much. Although, if my two mistresses are not with us, then it’s fine I will let them be with me on the sofa, as you can see in the pictures. I am trying hard to control myself though because I know if I don’t I won’t be allowed on the sofa at all. We go walking in the forest every day, which I find totally amazing because when we meet other dogs every sometimes I get to play with them But I don’t really like the path into the woods because there are always cars coming in both directions on the road and it still makes me very scared. But I’ll try to be brave and to get used to it so that I don´t get scared. I love to play with my tennis ball, I have always loved doing that and now I always get a treat when I return the ball. I shouldn’t really do it as my mums don´t want to have to search the whole garden to find my ball. Twice I have been to dog school and it is really fun to work there for goodies. I also understand that if I hear a ‘click’ I have got everything right. The best fun for me though is the time after the lesson when I get to romp with the other dogs. In the fenced area I can run properly and exhaust myself. Anyway, I’m the fastest of all! Hardly anyone can keep up with me. They want me to do ‘agility’ but I am not sure what that is. Well, I will indeed get to know and I am sure it till be good because so far everything they have given me new to...

Stan – is now called Stanley

Stan – now Stanley – has arrived in Germany. The welcome at the airport was positive. Our 12 year old female dog accepted Stanley. After the trip to Cuxhaven the house and the garden were immediately viewed. The first night was calm and relaxed. As a matter of course Stanley integrated into the family and into the daily routine, as he had always been here. The first walk was also relaxed. He like cuddles and animated for petting, but he also calls his time for plays, during which he is hard to stop. If he has finished, he lays down to rest and relaxed. We can say that Stanley has arrived and has found his forever home. Thank you to the association, which worked quickly and easily. Stanley and family    ...

Freeway – is now called Marley

Freeway is now called Marley, like the dog in the movie ” Marley and Me”. Now after ten days he now is with us we must note this name fits him perfectly. The ride home from the airport went smoothly. He immediately jumped into the car, lay down and dozed the whole trip. At home some family members were waiting eagerly for their new family member. Everything was ready, we went a little walk and then he was allowed to explore his new home and meet his family. He got something to eat and then he has a period of calm and we wanted to sleep. But Marley was terribly excited, he jumped and ran through the beds back and forth. Finally he lay down on the tiles and not in his dog basket and the rest of the night he was quiet. The next morning he came with a wagging tail to us. The first morning round was a nightmare. He pulled me over the meadows and paths, but the next round was already much more relaxed and from then it was always better. The first five days he behaved like a lamb, we thought the poor dog can´t bark. He learned quickly the German commands. But now the tide has turned: he can bark! Marley is crazy for toys and he loves to cuddle and unfortunately to eat. Marley is nice and friendly to all people. Only in young children we must still be careful because his temperament. Marley will go to dog school soon  and there he will learn a lot.    ...
