Janvier is a bit shy with unknown people and unknown environment. We guess that his experience with people were not always been the nicest. In his foster home he shows no fears to the people and he loves the little son of the family. There he has a confident relationship with the other dogs. He understands well with them, but he is not shy to them and don´t allow them to make with him what they want. Janvier is now looking for his own family, who shows him the beautiful aspects of life and do a lot with him because he is an active young boy. Fortunately someone saw it and reported it to a volunteer. The volunteer collect him and gave him a space as a foster dog. Reuben is now vaccinated and neutered and in need for a home family where he can stay forever. Reuben is very people oriented and an active dog. He loves to play and cuddle. Rina

Name: Rina (female) Date of birth: January 2017 Height to shoulder: currently 20 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: no ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: May 2017 Rina´s mommy was found in a pound as she was pregnant. She was brought to a vet and one day later she gave birth 4 little puppies. Meanwhile her 4 puppies Ralph, Randy, Racine and Rina have grown, were vaccinated and now want to find their families. They still live with their mommy, who cares lovingly about them. The babies still stay close together, but that will change quickly, because they are getting more courageous. Unfortunately the father is unknown, but her mama is a small-sized girl, so we assume that the kids will be not too big. Nounou

Name: Nounou (male) Date of birth: December 2015 Height to shoulder: 44 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: May 2017 Nounou was exposed on the farmland of a family in Nicosia. Unfortunately, the family’s attempts to find a home for Nounou were unsuccessful and so they had to give him to a shelter. Nounou is the perfect family dog. He like children very much. He loves attention and cuddles and he is also good with other dogs. Only on the leash he is not good yet, because he is not used. But in the shelter the trainer will teach him to walk on a leash, if it is possible to do it in the time he is there. We hope he will find a new home very soon. Roxy

Name: Roxy (female) Date of birth: February 2012 Height to shoulder: 42 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: April 2017 Roxy was found totally frightened on the side of the highway. Her finders brought her to the vet. Roxy is microchipped and registered and her owner could be found. But unfortunately the owner showed no interest in Roxy and told us that he had given Roxy to friends since she didn´t have time for the dog. In the meantime they had left the island and also left Roxy. In any case, he didn´t want her back, we could do with her what we wanted. Roxy has now recovered well and could overcome her fears. She was probably traumatized by the exposure. She loves us humans and also gets along well with the other dogs in the shelter. Of course Roxy don´t want to stay in the shelter forever and so she is now looking for her family, who really loves her. Robert

Name: Robert (male) Date of birth: March 2015 Height to shoulder: 64 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: April 2017 Robert was handed over by his owner to a shelter. The owner has moved, but he has not thought about his dog when choosing his new apartment. Dogs are not allowed in his new home, so Robert has been deported to the shelter. Robert is overwhelmed with his new life situation and does not understand why he has to stay there. He misses the human contact and that he can cuddle and have his own basket. Robert has a very dear character, no fear of us humans, understands well with other dogs and is house-trained.
