Name: Tekla (female) Date of birth: April 2008 Height to shoulder: 34 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Admitted to shelter: April 2017 Tekla was found together with Tami by shelter helpers. They were tied up at the shelter fence. Both were in a good condition, wore collars, and they had food and water next to them. Tekla was initially quite confused, unfortunately we don´t know how long they were already at the fence. All night, or few hours, we don´t know. They was brought to the vet and the check revealed that Tekla is positive for Leishmaniasis. Her chance to get adopted is not very high. Meanwhile, Tekla has noticed that she is safe and someone cares for her every day. She trusts the helpers and is well with all other dogs. Tekla has a rather quiet and very sweet character and she don´t want to spend the rest of her life in the shelter. She only need someone who cares for her and loves her like she is, a super lovely girl. She is looking for a place in a loving environment. Do you want to give Tekla a chance? Please let us know. ...

If he notice that nothing happens to him he begins to be open-minded and wants to be stroked and cuddled. He also walks outside the kennel without fear with the helpers and shows his gentle and loving nature towards all humans. He understands well with the other dogs in his group. She was very, very anxious and it took some effort to catch her. Fortunately, she was found by a very pet-loving couple, who have already given 7 dogs from the animal welfare a forever home. They have taken Shadow as a fosterer, but they can not take her permanently, because 7 dogs are enough. In the meantime with the family she shows normal behavior and could overcome her fears. She has proved to be very intelligent. She learns incredibly fast and needs a lot of movement. She likes to run with the other dogs over the large property and is very fast. In unknown environments she is still very shy at the beginning and shows unknown dogs her teeth, if they want to much and don´t beware a little distance. She just needs her time to get used to new surroundings and her unknown dogs. Shadow is looking for an active family, who does a lot with her and also supports her intelligence. If you are in love with Shadow and you would like to give her a loving and active home, please contact us. ...

Read MoreName: Lucky (female) Date of birth: May 2010 Height to shoulder: 37 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Admitted to shelter: May 2017 The former owner of Lucky and four other Beagles turned to the shelter asking if they could take the dogs because he have not enough time for them. He talked about his babies and how much he loves them and how hard the decision is for him. We were expecting a little happy beagle team and they were very sad that they had to leave their humans. When lucky came to the shelter with Joquin, Carrie, Uma and Gael, we didn´t believe our eyes. There was not a funny Beagle group wandering through the gate, no, there were very distraught and frightened, some more shy, other more reserved. We have no idea how the conditions were where they lived and what they’ve experienced, but it’s not normal for that breed Beagle to be distraught and frightened in that way. Now we are glad that his “babies” are with us and we can try to pampered all of them with loves and attention as much as possible. Would be better they could find a lovely home soon, but we think they are now better in the shelter than before. Lucky is one of the more shy than frightened Beagles. She needs a bit time to learn all the new things and how to live as a family member, but one day she will be a happy little girl when she has found a new family. She only needs love, attention and to explore all the things which dogs love. If you are in love with Lucky and you would like to offer her a lovely forever home, please contact us. ...
