Flight 25th July 2014 from Larnaca to Frankfurt/Germany
Today on 25th July 2014 Chanel and Kat fly off to their foster homes in Germany. The landing is at 5.50 pm in Frankfurt.
We wish both a smooth landing and a good start in their new lives.
Flight 24th July 2014 from Paphos to Hamburg/Germany
Today on 24th July 2014 a plane with 8 of our treasures on board has landed in Hamburg.
Aboard were: Chapsy, Henry, Lulu, Bruce, Mr. Brown, Owen, Henry, Earl and Betty.
We hope our treasures had a smooth flight and landing and we wish you a wonderful new dog´s life.

Today on Monday 21th July 2014 Bamboo and Mogran fly off to their new homes in Germany. The landing is in Frankfurt at 6.35 pm.
Bamboo is already homed and Morgan is reserved for someone. Good luck sweetie!

Thank you very much for the great donation – the 2nd donation container has arrived
This week arrived the 2nd 40’ donation container from Germany for our dogs.
The container was fully packed with food, toys, boxes, any kind of dog equipment and little special presents from our friends in Germany. Things will be distributed inbetween the CyDRA partner shelters/organisations.
It’s unbeliviable how many nice things we found again in this container and how much the people care for our animals and want to help.
We are more than grateful for the help that we have got.
We send a BIG THANK YOU to Germany in the name of our dogs.
We have new photos of Julius from his foster home in Germany
Julius is a sweet and cuddly dog. He is already housebroken and he has no problems with children and cats. Because of his age he is still very playful and still full of power.
Little Julius is still looking for his forever home.
Flight 3th July 2014 from Paphos to Hamburg/Germany
Today on Thursday 3th July 2014 the following dogs fly off to their new homes and foster homes: Kiki, Kira, Rosa, Zebi, Wayne and Paco.
Wayne and Rosa have already found their forever homes. Kiki, Kira, Zebi and Paco have found a foster home in Germany.

Willow – all are really happy with her
Hi everybody,
here is a message from Willow, who flew on 10th April 2014 to Hamburg, where she was so eagerly awaited by us. Us, these are: mother, father, child, grandma and grandpa. And it seems as if we had made a stroke of luck! Willow anyway, because really all conditions for a happy dog’s life are in place and we loved her from the first moment.
The chemistry was immediate. At home She loved to lie on the couch from the first moment.
She is completely healthy, cheerful and jolly and pleased with her mates. Only me, her owner, she can never let me out of her sight. We still need to train short separations. There are probably a few fears. In the dog school she learns easily and is happy about any task.
We hope that she will have a happy dog’s life on our side.
News of Ziggy from his foster home in Germany

The foster home describes him as follows:
Ziggy is really great and everyone is instantly in love with him. He also loves everyone, he loves cuddles and he always tries to sit on your lap.
He is good with other dogs, also with cats in the house. We don´t know yet, how he reacts outside. (more…)
Summer Charity Event
Garden Party at Pyrgos – Sat 21st June, 2014
Theresa and Walter welcomed us once again to their property to enjoy yet another excellent and well supported garden party to raise funds for the organisations: Cyprus Dogs Rehoming Association (CyDRA) and Cyprus Cats National Breeds Association (CyCNBA). The event was organised by the ever energetic raiser of funds for animal welfare, Lesley Hey and which, as usual, ran like clockwork and was a huge success.
A delicious and varied buffet supper was provided by the Rotisserie at Parekklesia and it was appreciated that Carol Jones spent a good deal of the evening up to the elbows in washing up water! Entertainment was varied and we were entertained with great music from Walter and his group, With a Little Help from my Friends. The effervescent singer was the very popular Angela Allery from Larnaca.
The evening finished with a great Jamming Session in which all Musicians were joined by one of the guests, Vikki Clayton, who is very well known on the English Music Scene as the singer with Fairport Convention during the 90’s. There was also an impromptu performance of Appellation Dance – a bit like Tap Meets River Dance! – from Joan Taylor – a great demonstration of skills and energy.

News of Daisy/Ruby from her foster home in Germany
Daisy is now called Ruby by her foster family in Germany.
Ruby is a very lovely and uncomplicated dog. She is very active and cuddles and loves to play all day. She learns very quickly, so she would love to visit a dog school.
She likes her buddies in the family, she loves kids and even the parrot is ok. She is not a barker and she is housebroken.
Ruby is just a sweetheart.

We have ew photos of Ben. His flight to Germany was on 20th June 2014.
His foster home describes him as lightly and quickly. He is a great dog. He is already housebroken and walks well on a leash. Ben loves to cuddle.
Ben is beautiful and is now waiting for his forever home.

Zaco and Zaid can now be adopted
Zaid and Zaco can now be found on our re-homing site, Zaco is already reserved for someone in Germany. Both have settled in very well in the foster home.
The two were for the foster home, as we have previously reported, a surprise package, they had initially terrible diarrhea and were completely full of ticks. This could not master alone of the foster home, and so Zaid and Zaco have already seen a Beauty Centre from the inside. 3 hours was needed to free the brothers from their ticks.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the foster home, it is not self-evident to help in in a plight and take puppies in such a state.
Thank you very much, you are a hero for Zaco and Zaid.
Zaid and Zaco are just loving puppies and they enjoying their life. They are real little sunshines. They are typically playful puppies, but not excessive.
Flight 27th June 2014 from Paphos to Hamburg/Germany
Tomorrow on Friday 27th June 2014 the following dogs have a ticket to freedom: Julius, Benny, Rasmus, Vida, Daisy and Ziggy.
All dogs have found a foster home in Germany. A big thank you to the foster homes which have enabled this flight for dogs.
The landing is in Hamburg at 6.00 pm. We wish a smooth flight and landing and a wonderful new dog´s life.
Emma and her puppies gang – Update 25.06.2014
Once again we received a call for help from a pound.
A spaniel mix female dog and her about 4 weeks old six puppies are urgently looking for admission in a shelter.
A pound was and is really not the place for a single mom and her puppies.
Unfortunately, all shelters are full of dogs, and a prospect of improvement is not in sight, as not many dogs leave the shelters, so we can´t plan, when we find a space in a shelter for the dog family.
Every day we have to reject requests for dogs, which breaks our hearts, because we know this is for most of the dogs the certain death. But what can we do? All shelters are full, no one has a free space.
Abby – is very happy in her new home
Hello people,
here is Abby and today I have time to write about my time in Germany.
Now I live nine weeks with very lovely people in Lembeck. They have helped me very much to go my way with my anxiety.
But from the beginning:
After I landed on 18th April 2014 in Hamburg, I was received by the reception committee Zypernhunde with a meat sausage from my box. Fantastically what there is to eat here in Germany.
Puhhh… I have eaten a lot! I was excited to see what awaits me and suddenly it got warm around my heart, as they stood there: my new family pack. Then I went to a cafe, for the first time I walked into such a building, but fear overtook me quickly. Where I am? And all the smells…
Jeff – has found his forever home in Germany
Actually, we had fallen in love with a female dog, but after a very nice phone calls with Zypernhunde was clear that the dog didn´t suit us.
It was quickly discovered that Jeff the right dog for us, who can resist those eyes already? Then everything happened very quickly and within a few days we were able to close Jeff in Hamburg in our arms. We were very excited…
As the saying goes: he came, saw and conquered! So it was also done to us. Jeff is a very alert, dear and playful dog. With the children it worked immediately good!
During the day he was also relatively fast housebroken and together we go to a dog school. He learns very quickly. He makes already sit, down and some tricks.
The poverty of the dogs is getting bigger!
What would you do if someone sends you a photo of these 3 puppies? With a Note that these three puppies have been disposed of in a pound.
We assume that you now think, as we thought. How on earth you can someone put these 3 cuties in pound?
The cages are small, dirty, full of poop, the dogs are exposed to wind and weather, at night there is no protection from the cold, during the day no shade – so they breed in the heat. The fleas and ticks dance in colonies through the kennels…
Flight 13 th June 2014 from Paphos to Hamburg/Germany
Today on 13th June 2014 the following dogs flew off to their new foster and forever homes in Germany: Joey, Sheba, Bruno, Zak, Lukas, Marty, Alice and Marcus.
The landing was at 6.00 pm.
Joey and Lukas have already found a new loving forever home. Zak and Alice are already reserved, so we keep our fingers crossed. Sheba, Bruno, Marty and Marcus have found a foster home in Germany.
We hope all had a good flight. We wish you all a wonderful new life.
Flight 20th June 2014 from Paphos to Hamburg/Germany
Today on Friday 20th June 2014 the following dogs fly off to their new homes: Ralph, Dillis, Skye, Ben, Lucy and Luckies.
Ralph has already found a forever home in Germany, the others have found a foster home in Germany. We keep our fingers cross, that all are homed soon.

Flight 18th June 2014 from Larnaca to Frankfurt/Germany
Today on 18th June, in about an hour, our treasures Liv and Sweetie land in Frankfurt.
Marco is now called Merlin – he is very happy in his new home
Marco, who is now called Merlin, is doing well. He is just at an age where he tries to test out his limits… but he is always nice to others.
Courtney (is now called Kaia) in her new home
Today we received new photos of Courtney in her new home. Courtney is now called Kaia, also a beautiful name.
We wish you lot of fun together.
Where are the people for beautiful Rasmus?
Our giant baby Rasmus is still looking for a new good home. His sisters are already homed in Germany, only Rasmus is still looking.
Where are the people for our big and beautiful Rasmus? Look in his eyes and you will fall in love with him.
New photos of Bamboo and Bruce
We have new photos of Bamboo and Bruce.
Both are reserved for Germany, so we keep our fingers crossed for these sweet happy little puppies. Both, however, must be treated with medication at the moment, so their flight to freedom is delayed.
Fern´s family is looking for love and good homes
Fern was thrown over the fence of a shelter together with her three puppies Clover, Lacey and Heather. Thrown away like trash.
Initially Fern showed big fears of people. After a few days she began to trust the shelter helpers.
In the presence of her puppies she is us humans opposite still cautious, when take her out of the kennel she is looking for the closeness to the people and enjoying every cuddles.
All 3 puppies are playful and curious and will certainly very great family dogs. Clover has a special appearance because she has different colored eyes.
Lacey has a scar on the neck, of which we don´t know where it comes from.
Little moments of happiness…
On some days they are just there, these little moments of happiness. And these little moments of happiness arise as so often, usually just by chance…
In Geesthacht/Germany a woman visited another woman and they began a smalltalk. One woman is a part of our foster family Flindt and she has a big heart, also for our dogs in Cyprus. The other woman has also a big heart for dogs and she is part of the company ISG Intermed Service GmbH & Co.KG in Geesthacht.
This company supplies since 1985 doctors, hospitals, laboratories and other healthcare facilities with medical consumables, equipment and facilities equipment. At the end of her little talk was clear that the company ISG Intermed Service GmbH & Co.KG would be happy to help us with a “small” donation.
Our foster mom Nicole Flindt drove with her rather tiny car to the premises of Intermed to pick up the donation.
Flight 11th June 2014 from Larnaca to Berlin/Germany
Today on 11th June 2014 the little Tetra flies out to Berlin to her foster home in Germany. The landing is at 2.10 pm.
We wish her a smooth flight and landing and a good start in her new life.
Riley – from a child of sorrow to a lucky fellow
Dear foster family in Cyprus,
first I want to thank you that you have provided me so long and so well.
After a long and exciting journey 10 days ago I arrived very well in Germany to my new foster family. They were just as excited and looked forward to what comes with me.
On arrival at the airport there was a welcome meat sausage and many cuddles, that was great.
I´m fell in love with my foster family, already after a very short time. All are incredibly dear to me.
My foster parents are very docile, they know exactly where I would like to be petted.
