Sunday evening saw around 150 people arrive to see the King! And he didn’t let us down.
The evening commenced with Eamonn welcoming everyone and thanking them for attending to help us raise some much needed funds!
Chris King as Elvis was, as usual, brilliant. He not only sounds and looks like Elvis, he has a great sense of humour which adds another dimension to the entertainment. The pictures show clearly how much everyone enjoyed his performances. Elvis mingled with everyone and had some special dedications – Julie particularly liked her song!
Elvis gave us two sets with a break in the middle for a very enjoyable buffet. We enjoyed lots of salads and vegetables, with a good choice of meat to accompany it all. For those feeling the need for something healthy there was a fruit salad for dessert. The Episkopi Village Tavern did us proud and we thank them sincerely for hosting this night for us for the second year running.
Holly the little bitch has arrived her foster home in Germany and pasted from the first moment in the dog pack.
She knows the family life, is house-trained, travels happy and without problems in the car, running relaxed on a leash, is confident and relaxed with dog encounters, and she loves cuddles. Even with cats she has absolutely no problems.
She is a little dream dog on four paws.
Look at our beautiful Digby. He is arrived in his foster home in Germany. His foster family has made some nice photos of him. So he will certainly find quickly a home.
We have new photos of sweet Mabel from her foster home in Germany. She is still looking for her forever home.
Julie has been arrived very well in her foster home, but now we have to keep our fingers crossed.

Max, Sarai, Nanah and Lonnie have already found their famlies. We wish them a good start in Germany and a life full of love, care and respekt.
Please take good care of our treasures, they are something very special.
After eight long weeks Lea went finally to her x-ray control to the vet clinic.
Do you remember? Lea have to walk eight weeks only three times daily for 15 minutes on a leash. For the foster home was it a big challenge, because Lea is full of energy and just wants to run, jump and roam about with the other pointers through the terrain. But we are all very happy because today all have been rewarded. The X-ray showed that the surgery was successful. Lea’s leg bone is grown together and the kneecap is back where it belongs.
Lea may finally start on four paws in her pain-free life . It will still take some time and training in order to build up her muscles. In eight weeks Lea must be again operated, because the plates have to be removed out her leg. But unlike the first operation, she will be back in life quickly on her four paws. After her check-up she was finally able to show all her joy of life. She ran and played with the other pointers and could hardly believe her luck.
Today on 19th May 2014 Teddy and Julie fly off to Germany to their new homes.
Julie has found a foster home in Germany. There she is waiting for her forever home with people who loves her.

A flight ticket to freedom have: Mabel, Dana, Chica, Goldie, Mavro, Sunday, Loulou and Tiny.
We wish you a smooth landing and a better life in Germany.
The arrival photos from Hamburg:
Loulou has arrived in Hamburg on Thursday. She lives now in her foster home in Germany.
Loulou has evolved much to the positive in the short time. She is almost no longer anxious. She loves cuddles and the attention of the people. She is curious and open-minded.
If she evolved more so great like now, she will certainly find her home quickly.
May we introduce? Dream dog Chica. What a beauty!
For all Cypriots: Sorry, but Chica arrived today in Germany. Missed opportunity.
Chica is now living in Germany in a foster home and is waiting there for her forever home.
Good luck sweetie.
Little Curry was saved from being sent to a municipality pound when a place in a shelter was found for her.
Now her life is perfect because she was adopted by a lovely family in Cyprus.
As soon as the family picked her up from the shelter, she found her place in between the two boys in the back of the car. She felt at home from the first second she arrived at their house.
Watching her in her new home, you can see how safe and relaxed she feels and how much she loves her new family.
Benno was very lucky to have been found here in Cyprus. We reported here: Benno.
Benno is now 13 days in the green Germany and he is very fine there.
He has quickly settled in, seized every couch and amassed a huge stuffed animal collection.
Now he can enjoy his young dog existence. He already obeys very well.
The initial problems with the existing dog were quickly resolved. The family says: It’s just nice to have him here.
A select and, obviously, very clever group of people honed their brains and sat ready with pens and paper on Tuesday 5th in Ayios Tychonas.
We had seven teams taking part and the evening commenced with two table top quizzes for them to get their teeth into along with hamburger, chips and salad!
The table top quiz must have been too easy because everyone did extremely well, with one team achieving 100%!
Eamonn Quinn was the quiz master, with Julie assisting. Once the meal was over we got down to business. Apart from the table top quizzes there were 6 rounds of 10 questions each. The subjects ranged from History to Music. Some very easier than others it appeared!
Becky is still waiting for her forever home. Good luck beauty.
Our trainer team needs toys for the rescued puppies in the shelters.
Especially Kong’s are robust, hygienic as can be easily washed/disinfected and reused in different kennels.
In the shelter are so many puppies but not very many toys and not many toys that can be used with puppies and likewise with older dogs that are safe to leave in kennels.
They can´t leave toys in the kennels with many of the dogs as there are not enough to do this safely. You need to have a high number of kong toys to leave in any one kennel to avoid any guarding/squabbling over toys.
Puppies should not to live in a shelter. But we want to make them as comfortable as possible.
If you want to donate a Kong or more, then please contact us via email: Info.Cydra@gmail.com
Thank you very much,
your CyDRA – Team
Hi you out there.
Yes, you see correctly. From the small timid Sheba a true diva has become. I think I am pretty – a beauty – and thanks to the help of my foster mom and my dog buddies, I always feel more comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. Soon I will tell more about myself and then I hope that I will find my own family.
Greetings,
your Sheba
Dilys is a real treasure. She seems to have a lot of Labrador in herself – she loves the water and to apport.
This treasure is still looking for a forever home.
Have a look at her video:
We have new photos of Dee from her foster home in Germay. She is still very shy, but it´s getting better day by day.
She is still looking for her forever home.
Dell lives in a foster home in Germany since February.
There he is very relaxed, cuddly and human-related. Despite his age, he still loves her extensive and exciting walks and likes to play with other dogs. He welcomes all people and can also deal well with children. Unfortunately, he doesn´t like cats.
We hope that he finds his forever home soon.
We invite you all to our next charity event. It´s on 6th May 2014 and starts at 7.00 p.m.
Please come and have fun.
Drake is now two weeks in his foster home. The foster home is enthusiastic about him.
He is an open-minded dog who approaching each person friendly. He has lots of charm and gets thereby immediately some pats from any people.
Drake was housebroken from the beginning and behaves quiet in the house.
Outside, he loves to romp through meadows and he has no problems with other dogs.

After all what Princess had experienced by the people, it´s so nice to hear that Princess slowly relaxed in her foster home.
After just 1 week in her foster home she has found a man who gives her confidence. She is still very fearful of men, but her foster home is still working with her. Princess loves her walks very much and she is running very well on a leash.
Well done Pincess, keep it up. We hope that you will find your forever home soon.
We had an exemplary behavior on holiday. In the hotel, gondola, restaurants or on the long car ride – we make everything without problems.
However, after the drive to home we were very happy to see our own house and garden again.
Your Ruby and Colin with family
Pickled was allowed to move into her foster home in Germany today.
Here are the first pictures from her foster home. Look how beautiful she is:
Today the following dogs fly off to Hamburg/Germany to their new homes: Pickled, Myrtle, Melody, Dilys, Sheba and Jeff. The landing is at 1.00 p.m.
All dogs have found a foster home in Germany.
We wish a smooth flight & landing and a good start for a wonderful new dog´s life.
It all started innocently enough and started with a parade in a small house with a huge garden.
The man was fully employed and often away on business with the rest of the family often at home alone in the house with a lovely big garden. The desire for a companion was getting stronger!
The thoughts about which type of dog should it be and would that dog come from began. As the family already had a lovely Cyprus dog, it should of course be another one.
And so Martha was coming a short time later. Martha was born in 2011. She is a white and black Pointer bitch who was found half-starved in Cyprus. She was only a shadow, but would recover in a foster home there. Martha is just loving, very gentle and would not hurt a fly.
As the plane landed with Martha, the family had no idea that in a few minutes they would fall in love with Pointer number two.

The surgery was four weeks ago and Lea´s leg looks good.
In the meantime was a vet check and the threads have been pulled. Lea puts her leg on. Now you can already see clearly that the leg builds up muscles.
Lea is doing very well. For her foster home sometimes too good, because she is a power pack and wants to start running.
Unfortunately, as before, she may only walk three times a day for 15 minutes outside. Lea loves intelligence games and toys.
