A select and, obviously, very clever group of people honed their brains and sat ready with pens and paper on Tuesday 5th in Ayios Tychonas.
We had seven teams taking part and the evening commenced with two table top quizzes for them to get their teeth into along with hamburger, chips and salad!
The table top quiz must have been too easy because everyone did extremely well, with one team achieving 100%!
Eamonn Quinn was the quiz master, with Julie assisting. Once the meal was over we got down to business. Apart from the table top quizzes there were 6 rounds of 10 questions each. The subjects ranged from History to Music. Some very easier than others it appeared!
The scores were fairly even most of the way through the evening but ‘The Cobblers’ set up an early lead and held on to it all through the competition. For those of you reading who know anything about football you will understand why Eamonn (a life long Northampton Town supporter – The Cobblers) couldn’t help but be pleased and indeed shocked. The football team are known for not being able to hold on to a lead ever!!!
Lesley Hey also ran a ‘pick a number’ sheet at one euro a go and there were 3 prizes at the end of the evening.
It was a fun night and enjoyed by all. We thank Lesley for organising it and for the donation made from the evening to CyDRA. These events make such a difference to the welfare and homing of the dogs, so they send a big ‘THANK YOU LESLEY’ too!
